From SEMUSE
A central theme in web publishing and online identity is the individual and collective creation of content and definition of processes to facilitate communication between them. This community provides a common frame of reference for collective identity and help to build trusted and authoritative networks of users and creators of cultrual heritage information. The community is not just the collection of profiles in a central information system but spans a topic of interest across organizational and conceptual boundaries. The building of Virtual communities is the focus of a number of research projects and publications and will be a central part of the semuse activity.
